The video is produced in an easily understood format. It avoids jargon and examines case studies in different industries. It provides managers, safety officers and human resource personnel with a precise and clear training programme for the new Act.
Every employer must consult their employees regarding workplace safety. Every workplace from the largest multinational company to the smallest factory must establish a Committee, representative or some arrangement set out in the Act. There are no exceptions.
Under the Act every employer or self-employed person must carry out a risk assessment. Thereafter an employer will have to Identify, Assess and Control the risks that occur in their workplace. Risk management will be incorporated into all decision making processes, from design to changes in the system of work. This process will now apply to all workplaces.
